Integrates with the plant systems you already run.

OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, REST API. MES connectors for the top five platforms. No custom middleware required.

Four integration paths for every plant architecture

OPC-UA

OPC Unified Architecture

ISO 16484-5 standard. Eolvision publishes inspection verdicts and metrics as OPC-UA nodes. Your PLC or SCADA server subscribes at configurable update rates. Supports both push (subscription) and pull (read-on-demand) access patterns. Recommended for Siemens, Rockwell, and Beckhoff PLC environments.

Modbus TCP

Modbus TCP/IP

Industrial standard supported by virtually every PLC on the market. Eolvision maps pass/fail verdict to discrete holding registers and inspection counts to input registers. Sub-10ms write latency after verdict generation. Suitable for legacy PLC environments where OPC-UA is not supported.

REST API

REST API (JSON)

HTTP/S JSON API for MES and ERP integration. Verdict events pushed as webhooks or polled via GET. Full inspection record including defect image URL, classification, confidence score, and part metadata. Used for SAP MES and Inductive Automation Ignition connectors. TLS 1.3 only.

Discrete I/O

24V Discrete I/O

Direct hardwired output to reject station. Pass/Fail/Review on three separate 24V digital output lines. Latency from verdict generation to output signal: under 5ms. Does not require network connectivity. Used in parallel with protocol-based integration — the reject station never waits for the network.

MES and SCADA platform compatibility

Pre-built connectors and integration documentation for the most common plant systems.

MES / SCADA platform Connector type Notes
SAP Manufacturing Execution REST API Verdict records posted to SAP ME process order via REST. Part serial number passed as key.
Siemens Opcenter OPC-UA Native OPC-UA subscription. Verdict and defect count published as Opcenter quality event.
Rockwell FactoryTalk OPC-UA Compatible with FactoryTalk Transaction Manager. Verdict written to PLC tag via Studio 5000.
Inductive Automation Ignition OPC-UA / REST Ignition OPC-UA server subscription or Ignition webhook trigger via REST API.
AVEVA Wonderware OPC-UA Wonderware System Platform OPC-UA connection. Verdict and image path written to historian.

Don't see your MES? Contact our integration team — we support additional platforms via custom REST or OPC-UA mapping. Most integrations complete in 1–2 days on site.

Two deployment configurations

On-premises plant server or single-cabinet edge computing unit — both keep inspection data inside your plant network.

Single-station

Edge computing unit

Single-cabinet fanless compute unit mounted directly at the inspection station. Designed for 1–2 camera configurations at a single end-of-line station. Ideal for adding automated inspection to an existing line with minimal IT infrastructure changes.

  • 1–2 camera inputs
  • IP67 rated enclosure option
  • Discrete I/O on-board
  • Limited local storage (30-day retention)
